The United Citizens Party stands for a simple idea: a government that is honest with its people, open about its work, and judged by what it changes in daily life. This manifesto lists the values we will follow and the promises you can hold us to - not slogans, but an agreement with you.
What Guides Us
Every plan we make must pass three tests: Does it help people? Can it be done honestly and in the open? Will it last? We do not follow "left" or "right" - only what works for people and the country's future. And we put first those who are too often left behind: women, children, youth and farmers.
Most of all, we judge ourselves not by what we announce, but by what we actually finish - every plan fully funded, done on time, and built for the future. Making rules is easy; honest money, work done on time, and real results are what change a nation.
1. Honest and Open Government
Trust is the base of everything. We will make the government's work easy to see, and the people who run it answer to you.
- Open budgets, open information and open decisions - put out for everyone to see.
- Online, paper-free services with no bribes - and protection for those who report wrongdoing.
- More power and money given to local village and town councils - so local problems are solved locally.
- Officials with real power to act - and held strictly responsible for results.
- Public money and projects planned openly, by real need - so every area gets its fair share of growth.
2. Education that Builds Future Leaders
Education is more than reading and writing - it is how a generation learns to think, to lead and to build. We will give every child not just knowledge, but freedom, chances and good values.
- Good schools with trained teachers and modern, digital learning - and college that every hard-working student can afford.
- Real skills that lead to jobs and small business - so study ends in work, not joblessness.
- Schools and colleges good enough that no one has to go abroad just to study - and our best young people have every reason to stay and build here.
- The freedom to think and create, and the chance to lead - helping young leaders who think ahead and want to build, from every background.
- Good values along with studies - honesty, kindness, responsibility, and knowing your rights, duties and the law.
3. Health Within Everyone's Reach
No family should fall into debt because someone fell ill.
- Strong government hospitals and health centres, and low-cost medicines.
- Good treatment in villages and cities alike, close to home.
- Real focus on staying healthy - good food and clean surroundings - not just treatment.
4. Dignity and Justice for All
India rises when those who were ignored are protected, respected and made strong.
- Women: fast and sure justice; safe streets, transport and workplaces; equal pay; and the means to earn, stand on their own, and lead.
- Children: protection from abuse and child labour; good food; early care; and safe, good schools.
- Equality: equal respect and equal chances for all - whatever their gender, religion, region, language or background.
5. Farmers - the Backbone of the Nation
Those who feed the country must never be left to suffer. Farmers come first - and the way we farm decides the future of our land.
- A fair, guaranteed price, modern storage, dependable water for fields, easy loans, and freedom from debt.
- A move to natural farming - fewer chemicals and pesticides, healthier soil, and safe food for every family.
- Training, technology, and selling straight to the market - so farming earns well and is respected again.
- Care for the land - protecting the soil, water and earth we hand to our children.
6. Jobs and a Self-Reliant Economy
Wealth must be made at home and shared by all.
- Real jobs close to home - through small business, startups, services, and large-scale skill training for the work of today and tomorrow.
- Support for local factories, small and medium businesses, and our own energy - good jobs made in India.
- Chances at home, so talented people need not leave their town - or the country - to build a future, and those who went abroad have a reason to come back.
7. Balanced Development and a Clean Environment
We build for the next generation, not just the next election - and we protect the land, water and air they will get.
- Fair growth in every city, town and district - in Karnataka and across India - so progress is not packed into a few big cities while the rest fall behind.
- Well-planned cities and towns that don't choke as they grow - fixing traffic, housing, water and basic services early, not too late.
- Clean air, water and energy, and real care for our forests, rivers and a healthy earth.
- Proper waste handling and clean public places in every town and village.
- Dependable roads, electricity, clean water, public transport and internet - in villages and small towns, not just big cities.
- Technology that makes public services faster, simpler and within everyone's reach.
Our Pledge
We will be honest about what we can do, open in how we do it, and responsible for the results. This is our promise to you - and your right to ask of us.
